marbella massage centre- Useful Massage Tips

This page is designed to offer you some tips onhow to get the very most out of your massage with us. We have broken these tips down into three sections, tips for before your massage, tips for during the massage and also tips for after the massage, we hope you find them useful and would ask if you have any questions regarding our service or massage and treatments whatsoever that you do not hesitate to contact us, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Before your Massage

Aim to arrive 15 mins early, your massage is designed to relax both your mind and body, there's no point arriving for a 2.00pm massage appointment at 2.00 pm or later and being all stressed and tense as you are late, aim to be with us a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow yourself plenty of time to prepare for your treatment.

Don't eat a large meal before your massage as it's not a good idea to have a massage on a very full stomach.

During your Massage

Communicate with the massuese. Especially if it is your first visit to our clinic please communicate to us if you would like more or less pressure applied and whether or not you have any special areas of your body that are needing more attention than others, this is especially important if you have ever suffered from any back or neck problems.

Can I talk or should I stay silent during the massage?

It is totally down to you whether or not you wish to talk during your massage, some clients like to chat but many others prefer to be quiet and really focus on relaxing and maximising the massage experience.

Relax your muscles.

It is very important to relax your muscles to get the maximum benefit from your massage, as you settle onto the massage bed imagine your limbs are very heavy and allow them to sink deep into the bed. Clear your mind of the everyday stresses and strains we all have and focus on the feeling of the hands of the massuese on your skin.

Breath deeply.

To help you relax it's important to breathe correctly during your massage. Make sure your breathing is deep and controlled, focus on letting go of stress and tension when you breathe out, your massage therapist can discuss relaxing breathing techniques with you before your massage treatment begins.

After your Massage

Drink plenty of water after your massage finishes to help flush the body of toxins, this will dramatically help cleanse your body and improve your feeling of well being.

When the massage ends if you are feeling slightly light headed do not get up from the massage table too quickly, tell your massage therapist you would like a few minutes to relax before getting up.

Remember the benefits of massage are cumalative and that they will build up over time, the more times you have a massage treatment the more your body and muscles in particular will benefit. Ideally we recommend having a massage once a week and after 3-4 treatments you will be noticing a massive reduction in the tension in your body.
